The Story
ZodiacID started with a question: what if natal chart readings had the same precision as the astronomical calculations behind them?
Most birth chart readings rely on generic Sun-sign descriptions or brief template paragraphs. We took a different approach. We built a multi-stage analytical pipeline that starts with Astrolog 7.80 — a professional astronomical engine powered by Swiss Ephemeris — computing exact positions for 20 celestial bodies, mapping all 9 aspect types with precise orbs down to the arcminute, and calculating full Placidus house placements.
But raw chart data is only the beginning. We extract each chart’s unique statistical signature: planetary weights by sign and house, elemental and modal distribution, aspect geometry, mutual receptions, and dispositorship chains. This data feeds into 13 specialized analysis modules — each one grounded in the interpretive frameworks of Liz Greene (psychological astrology), Robert Hand (systematic aspect analysis), and Steven Forrest (evolutionary astrology).
Every section is written individually for your specific placements, cross-referencing aspects with house rulers and planetary dignity. The result is a 40+ page report that reads like it was written by someone who actually studied your chart — because that is exactly what happens.
Our Approach
Every report starts with your exact birth data — date, time, and city. We geocode your birth location and compute the precise position of each celestial body at your moment of birth. From this raw astronomical data we derive your complete chart architecture: planetary dignities (domicile, detriment, exaltation, fall), house rulership chains, mutual receptions, and the specific aspect web connecting all 20 bodies.
Your chart is then analyzed through 13 specialized modules: from core identity (Sun, Ascendant, chart ruler) through emotional architecture (Moon, 4th house, Cancer placements) to career dynamics (Midheaven, Saturn aspects, 10th house ruler) and relationship patterns (Venus, Mars, 7th house, Juno). Each module cross-references your specific placements with house rulers and aspect patterns — producing original analysis, not recycled horoscope descriptions.
The analysis builds sequentially. Each section references what came before, so the final report reads as one coherent narrative — not 13 disconnected fragments.
Methodology
The astronomical layer uses Astrolog 7.80, a professional-grade engine powered by Swiss Ephemeris — the same ephemeris data used by research astrologers worldwide. We compute positions for 10 classical planets plus Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, North Node, South Node, Black Moon Lilith, Vertex, and Part of Fortune. All 9 aspect types are calculated with exact orbs: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, oppositions, semi-squares, sesquiquadrates, quincunxes, and semi-sextiles.
The interpretive layer draws on three established traditions: Liz Greene’s psychological astrology (depth psychology applied to chart patterns), Robert Hand’s systematic aspect analysis (precise delineation of planetary combinations), and Steven Forrest’s evolutionary astrology (growth-oriented interpretation of nodal axis and outer planets). We combine these frameworks with our own proprietary weighting system for aspect significance — factoring in orb tightness, planet type (personal vs. transpersonal), and house placement.
Astrology is not a science, and we don’t pretend otherwise. We don’t predict the future or claim certainty. What we offer is a rigorously structured framework for exploring personality patterns and life themes through the lens of your birth chart.
